At Johns Hopkins University. To their surprise,
Reportedly, Wang did not resist or flee the officer in any manner.
...
Wang was considered to have no malicious intent to use the weapon for harm....
"There was never was any hint whatsoever of imminent danger to the student body," O'Shea said.
I bet that short-circuited their little pantywaist brains. A gun that hasn't taken control of its owner! Inconceiveable!
Of course, all's not ending well for Mr. Wang:
The University plans to set an example by treating Wang harshly and justly with expulsion, according to O'Shea.
Harshly, yes. Justly? Bullshit.

Having lived in Hamden, the white-trash section of Baltimore immediately to the west of JHU, I can see why the student wanted to be armed in that part of town. However, he was a junior, hence likely less than 21 years old and legally unable to buy a handgun. He also had no permit to carry, a Maryland requirement to do so legally. He may be older than 21; he may be a foreigner with military experience who brought his handgun with him from home, legally, and did not know the law.
In any event, getting kicked out of Hopkins is now the least of his worries. Maryland, and Baltimore especially, will release a local junkie moments after an arrest for multiple B&Es (including my own home, so yes I speak from experience), but an otherwise law-abiding citizen with an illegal gun is likely to be made an example of, to encourage the others who are stupid enough to continue living there.
