Another week, another Titan victory. Wow, 9-0. Even the mainstream sports media can't ignore us now.
I'm not well-versed on the NFL's system on how teams make the playoffs. I do know, however, as it stands right now, the Titans need to win four more games to clinch the Division, and one more after that to clinch home field throughout the playoffs.
That's only if Pittsburgh, New England, Baltimore and the Jets win the rest of their games.
But, that's not happening, as Pittsburgh still has to play New England and Baltimore.
And, the Jets play New England next week.
See? It's getting complicated. My head hurts.
What I'm getting at is there's no chance all these teams will win out. They play each other, duh.
Bottom line: If the Titans win the three games they should win easily (Detroit, Cleveland and Houston), and only one of the games that should challenge them (Jacksonville, Jets, Pittsburgh and Indy), they will make the playoffs, regardless of what any of the other teams do.
I have a feeling that if we lock home field, Jeff Fisher will rest folks. That may prevent a "perfect" season, but as New England found out last year, perfect ain't perfect when you lose the Super Bowl.
Update: Speaking of Super Bowls, how cool would it be to see the Titans and Cardinals in the Big Game? Ya think Bulluck would want to get up close and personal with Warner? I think so. =)
