A New Address for Your Christmas Card List - Updated

UPDATE: The original post was an internet hoax. That's too bad.

However, you can go here to get information on how you can send a card to a soldier. I've replaced the hoax address with the correct one below.

Send one (or more) here:

A Recovering American Soldier
c/o Walter Reed Army Medical Center
6900 Georgia Avenue,NW
Washington , D.C. 20307-5001

Holiday Mail for Heroes
PO Box 5456
Capitol Heights, MD 20791-5456
There, that's better.

Hat tip to my anon commenter, and Snopes.

Tried that last year and found out it was a hoax. Walter Reed will not accept mail not addressed to a specific individual. I found that out after sending 10 Xmas cards last year and having them all returned. I believe that there is a Red Cross address that you can send them to instead and they will hand deliver them to our troops.
