Vote “YES” on Term Limits for Memphis and Shelby County

Memphis, TN – October 15, 2008 Citizens of Memphis and Shelby County will get a historic opportunity to decide whether elected officials are truly “indispensable.” The term limit provisions on the November ballot consist of the Shelby County Ordinance 365 and the Memphis Charter Referendum No. 1.

We strongly encourage the voters of Memphis and Shelby County to approve the individual measures to limit politicians to 2 x 4's (2 terms, 4 years per term) by voting “YES”.

“If after eight years, a politician can't get the job done for his constituents, common sense would say, it's time for him to move on, and let someone else give it a try.” Vote “YES” for Term Limits.

While I understand the pros and cons of term limits, one look at who has been running Memphis for the last two decades pushesd me into the "pro" column.
