Hollywood, Your Hypocrisy is Showing (and a bonus Quote of the Day)

So, Hollywood has delayed the release of a movie so as not to "not affect the election one way or the other".

What movie would that be? Is it "W" by Oliver Stone?

Nope. That one's still in the mix. Opens this Friday, as a matter of fact.

It's Hanoi Hilton, a film about Vietnam POW's that features an interview with John McCain.

Hypocrisy? You betcha. This film is over 20 years old, not exactly what you'd call a "blockbuster" when it came out. Hell, it's biggest stars were Michael Moriarity and David Soul. Not much of a chance to influence many voters, really.

The film's writer, Lionel Chetwynd said it best:

"Finding someone in Hollywood who says they don't want to affect the election is like finding a virgin in a brothel,"

Yup. Hollywood can't even let a B-movie go to DVD if it might say something positive about a non-leftist political candidate.
