We seem to have quite a few gun bloggers who come from law enforcement families.
My dad was a cop in the Air Force, as well as a reserve Memphis city cop (worked the riots of the early '70's) and a deputy sheriff in Mississippi.
OK, maybe "cop" wasn't his real job in the AF. He was Air Police, but was actually in a mortar platoon in the Philippines during the Korean War.
