The AR was in the trunk?

Reporting on the CT tragedy was spotty at best, and one of the things that changed was the presence of a Bushmaster .223 at the scene vs found in the trunk of the car.

This video seems to show it being checked out in the trunk.

What y'all think?

Now to find out where the "second shooter" went. The one found in the woods who yelled "I didn't do it" as he was led off by police. At least that's what I heard early on. Kinda specific to be a mistake.

Looked like a pump shotgun.

Looking again, I did see what looked like a side saddle on the butt, but at 1:26 or so I'm pretty sure I saw an AR style front sight assembly. At one time I thought I saw the carrying handle, but other views don't back that up.

Now I know how NFL replay officials feel.

It's a semi-automatic shotgun. You can see one of the shells drop in the trunk at 1.22. Also, from the motions he's making, looks like he's pulling the bolt back to clear the weapon. I can see using this motion to clear a semi-auto shotgun but not an AR. The bolt handles are in different places.

Yeah, I noticed that, too. Wonder why no mention of a shotgun, then?
