410 Gauge M35 Shells Now Available. CMP has acquired a quantity of .410 gauge, 3 inch, #6 shot M35 military surplus shotgun shells.  Our test showed that the ammunition patterned exceptionally well.  Tests were conducted at 20, 30, and 40 yards. We did find out that the M35 shells will not feed through a pump action shotgun.  From our testing we will assume that the shells will not function in pump action, bolt action, or semi-auto shotguns.  The shells are best used in single or double barrel applications or loaded directly into the chamber a single round at a time.  CMP has two configurations for sale: Item number 4S410M35-25, 25 round boxes for $20.00 + $7.00 S&H ($12 to HI & AK), and Item number 4S410M35-450, wood case, 450 rounds for $300.00 + $22.00 S&H ($29 to HI & AK).  Order online at the CMP E-Store, https://estore.odcmp.com/store/catalog/catalog.aspx?pg=catalogList&cat=AMS.

 Civilian Marksmanship Program Announces Plans to Build Multi-Phase Outdoor Marksmanship Facility in Talladega County, Alabama - The Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) is pleased to announce it has completed the purchase of approximately 500 acres of wooded property in Talladega County, Alabama, for the purpose of building a new CMP Outdoor Marksmanship Facility. The multi-phase, multi-year project will assist the CMP in carrying out its mission to promote firearm safety and marksmanship skills to U.S. citizens, with an emphasis on youth, near its CMP South facilities. CMP No Longer Issuing Ammo at CMP Matches. The CMP will no longer issue ammunition to competitors for the Garand, Springfield, As-Issued Garand, Carbine or any other CMP matches. This includes the National Matches and all Regional Games Events (Eastern/Western Games, Oklahoma Games, Georgia Games, etc.). Competitors may purchase ammunition at the match or bring their own. Ammunition will be for sale at all CMP matches to all match competitors at a special discounted match price.  Competitors will be responsible for bringing or purchasing additional ammunition to complete the match.
