I was laughing even before reading this:

So my Protip of the day is: If you’re running for office, it’s probably not a good idea to have an argument at a Second Amendment Rally with a guy behind the table for the state gun rights organization about gun laws.

It's like some people interpret the law according to how they think it should be, instead of what it is.
