Ok, One of Us Can't Read

First, there's this headline from Heidi Przybyla:

Tea Party Advocates Who Scorn Socialism Want a Government Job

Sounds hypocritical, doesn't it? Well, here's what "Tea Partiers" actually said:

At the same time, 70 percent of those who sympathize with the Tea Party, which organized protests this week against President Barack Obama’s health-care overhaul, want a federal government that fosters job creation.
I must be illiterate, because nowhere in that sentence do I see "Government Job".

More likely, the author isn't familiar with governments role when it comes to jobs.

Here's a short version: The government can foster job creation by lowering taxes and removing obstacles to employing people in the private sector. Creating government jobs is only fostering a higher deficit.

Classic - I read that the same way you do.
I'm also thinking Heidi missed this poll: http://www.quinnipiac.edu/x1295.xml?ReleaseID=1436.

It'll be all better soon - The Chosen will focus on Education and Indoctrination.

Egad.

What about green jobs? I want a government green job! Maybe in education. Or the Indoctrination camps.

Typical "group-think". She's reading the statement from her perspective, which is, the only way the government can "foster" or "improve" anything is to regulate or get more involved in it.

She seems to have no concept that, in reality, the best way that the government can foster or improve anything is to get the heck out of the way and let the people who actually know what they're doing run with it.

Typical of the media who see the world through blinders imposed by a lifetime of indoctrination into a particular worldview.
