All This Snow is a Result of Global Warming

That's what someone told me the other day. Had a pretty reasonable explanation, too. Increased heat causes more water vapor, etc.

So, even IF I accept that, what's causing the snow to stay on the ground for going on two weeks?

I've lived in the Memphis area since 1969, and four days is the most I can remember snow sticking around for (actually it was ice that time).

Actually, the snow is due to an unusually strong El Nino, which may or may not be made strong by global warming.
