Ted Kennedy

I'm not going to say much about it. I disagreed with most of his positions, but I agree with what Sebastian said about cancer:

it’s not a scourge I would wish on anyone. Even Ted Kennedy.

Amen.

I, too, watched as my mother died of cancer. Brain cancer killed her just shy of her 49th birthday back in 1977. It's a bad way to go.

I must agree with you. Brain cancer took my father-in-law and grandmother-in-law, no to mention a high-school chum before his 18th birthday.

As to Sen. Kennedy -- my mother always taught me that if you can't say something nice about someone, don't say anything at all.

P.S. -- that saintly mother of mine left us in 1977, too, just shy of her 46th birthday. Lupus.

1977 must have been a worse year than even I remember.

I blame Jimmy Carter.
