Sunday Music

Posting this in honor of Roy Clark's induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame. (h/t Aunt B)

Clark’s musical prowess is often overlooked by the broader country music community.
A guitar player on par with Chet Atkins, Clark could tear up a banjo, too. And a mandolin. And a fiddle. Trumpet? Not so much. =)

"Rocky Top" performed by Roy Clark and the Muppets.

Maybe if one defines the "broader country music community" as "those who discovered country music when Garth Brooks came along and think everything before him was 'twangy, whiny and tired'"....

Although I like Garth as an artist, he did signal the end of Country music, Dwight Yoakim notwithstanding.

With some exceptions, I would agree. We have some good stuff comin' outta Texas, though.
