I tink da yoot needs a break.
On many levels. First, let me link Jimmy's rundown of Vince's woes. Look here, here, here, and especially here.
Also, video here.
My take? Vince needs to man up. This is the NFL, not the NCAA. Virtually everybody on the field was a star athlete in college, no one is special*. It doesn't help when your Mom goes on record saying this:
“But he will be fine if people are prayerful and help my baby boy out. He is a young man. He just needs a lot of love and support.’’Baby boy? C'mon mom, don't call me that. The big boys will pick on me.
Then there's this:
What would you think, if you were tired of being ridiculed and persecuted and talked about and not being treated very well, what would you do?What would I do? Not the right question. The right question is "What did I do?". Everybody who lives any sort of life eventually is faced with this situation. Mine was in basic training, aka "boot camp".
You either prove them right, or prove them wrong. I proved them wrong.
How about you, Vince?
* Not even Tom Brady or Brett Favre, but that's a post for another time.
