So, Palin It Is

Out - freakin - Standing!

So, someone please tell me why it's the Republicans who can nominate a woman to be VP and not the Democrats?

Of course, it was the Republicans who appointed an African-American to be Secretary of State (twice). One of those happened to be a woman as well. Now who's being inclusive?

The Democrats already nominated a woman for VP. That wasn't a ceiling they already broke.

Geraldine Ferraro was first.

I know, but that was an empty gesture.

There was no way Mondale was going to beat Regan, so the Dems put her on the ticket just to say they did it.

In this case, the job was given to the most qualified person.

Besides, I wasn't speaking historically as much as I was taking a shot at the Dems for not putting Hillary! on the ticket.

Not that she was necessarily the most qualified, but she'd have been a better choice than Biden.

Not that I'm complaining about that choice. Having him on the ticket raises McCains chances of victory quite a bit. =)

I think I was in high-school when Biden got his hair-plugs. It was right after (*spit*) Proxmire (*spit*) had his done. That's senatorial leadership for ya!
I remember thinking, "People DO that??"
