Game: Find the "Assault Weapon"!

Ok boys and girls, let's play a little game called "Find the Assault Weapon"

With all the back-and-forth on banning "Assault Weapons", I thought I'd employ the K.I.S.S. principle and hopefully make my point.

Now, to picture number 2:



There you have it. One would be banned under standard assault weapons ban provisions, the other would not. Which one is the "assault weapon"?

They are, of course, the same rifle. A Ruger Mini 14. They simply have different stocks. This illustrates how silly and ineffective it is, banning something based on appearance.
