Flat on a Motorcycle

Not a good thing, especially going down Highway 51 at 55 - 60 mph. Lucky for me, it was my back tire, and it didn't blow. It just went flat quickly.

I was just down the road from one of those Mega-Churches the South is so famous for. It had cars coming and going, but did one stop to see if I needed help? Nope. Only some guy in a beat-up Civic. I had a can of fix-a-flat on the way, so no worries, but still....

Why does it not surprise me that no one stopped. sigh.... Are ya scary looking? :)

I'm just glad you're ok. Hopefully, a new tire....or two, is in your future?

Yeah, I replaced the front one last year, I guess I just tried to stretch the back one out a little too long.

As for scary looking, all my mirrors are polished stainless steel, if that's any indication. =P

Good thing it was the rear, it's hard as hell to pull on the bars long enough to keep the front up! I never had much luck with fix-a-flat and use a sticky-rope plug tool and a few compressed air cartridges. I know fix-a-flat for-sure didn't work in my truck tire - the volume is too great and the pressure not enough, even using a second can.
Churchgoers drive cages. I always got better roadside help from another motorcyclist.
