DNA Registry

Kim du Toit points out that Big Brother is once again on the move in America:

Let’s summarize and replay the important parts: U.S. Govt agencies are required to collect DNA samples from people arrested, or detained, or facing charges, or convicted—if the people thus held are required to be fingerprinted as part of the normal process.

So… what if you refuse to provide them access to your DNA, as our Brit friend did?

So if you refuse, they’ll strap you to a table, force your mouth open and swab your mouth anyway.

I have one thing to say about this:

NO FUCKING WAY.

Agreed. This is just a thinly-disguised attempt by the .gov to catalog people into "desirable" and "undesirable", with focus, of course, on "undesirable". Guilty until proven innocent doesn't apply any more, I guess*.

* Got that backwards, didn't I?

That rumbling earth you feel? It's the sound of our founders collectively rolling over in their graves.
