It would be nice to see this go national:
Good deal, let's do this nationwide.
ST. PAUL (AP) Vietnam War veterans are on the verge of getting their own day every March.
The Vietnam Veterans Day bill heads to Governor Tim Pawlenty for a signature after passing the Minnesota Senate unanimously. There was no debate.
Senator Dan Skogen (SKOH'-gun) simply urged his colleagues to honor Vietnam veterans "forevermore" on March 29th. The date was chosen because the last U.S. ground troops left the Asian country on March 29, 1973.
It's a day too long in coming.
