I mentioned it in passing here, and now Jay reports the following:
Boston police officials, surprised by intense opposition from residents, have significantly scaled back and delayed the start of a program that would allow officers to go into people's homes and search for guns without a warrant.They called it the "Safe Homes Initiative". I guess the people's idea of a safe home is different from Boston's political class.
I wonder if other cities are still considering it?
