We all like to wonder how to keep our schools safe, we already have the answer.
Israel.
They cope with violence on a scale that dwarfs ours, yet they manage to do pretty good.
Why don't we learn from them and take those steps necessary to protect our schools?
It's for the children!
I'm interested in any counter-arguments.

I agree. Other than the constant threat of terrorist attacks Israel is quite safe. No shootouts and "blood in the streets" despite the fact that pretty much everyone walks around armed.
