Thoughts on the Patriots

So the Pats have gone undefeated this regular season. All year, you'd have thought two things:

One, they would be the second team to do it

and

Two, America loves them.

Neither of which are true.

One, the Chicago Bears went undefeated twice, before the 'Fins did it.

Two, outside of the New England area, the only people who like this team are those who root for the best team going (bandwagon jumpers) and sports announcers. I'm suprised Brady has the time or energy to knock up actresses and supermodels, what with all the sucking he gets from the media.

I liked the Pats of 2001. The one who came out as a team and quietly took care of business, covered each other's butts when injuries popped up, and generally behaved with class. Besides, any team with a guy by the name of Bruschi (pronounced "brewski"), was OK in my book.

These Pats are classless showboats and thugs. Brady is, in the parlance of days gone by, a cad and a bounder. I guess that's why the media love them so much.

If the Pats do go all the way, I'll grudgingly tip my hat to them, and wait for the day in the future, after they fall from grace, where the teams they ran scores up on return the favor.

Then I'll smile.
