(Stupid) Quote of the Day

Via San Fransisco District Attorney Kamala Harris, I'd like to present you with the first ever Gun Blogs Stupid Quote of the Day In reference to the silly-as-hell gun laws SF is trying to enact, she says:

"It's focused on making it as inconvenient and as difficult as possible for people to possess guns in a way that people will be harmed"
Mere gun possession = harmed people? Geez Louise (I mean Kamala), where'd you pull that one out of? Never mind, I don't want to know.

Also, I'm the farthest thing from a grammer nerd, but that sentance just doesn't read right.

H/T to Stile and Cam Edwards

The sad part is...

...the CA gun license they make you sign will probably have a provision that gives them permission to do the checks. You just wait...it'll be a CONTRACT with the state government.

It's all about interpretation

Mere gun possession = harmed people?

I think you have analyzed that sentence correctly. She said they were "...making it as inconvenient and as difficult as possible for people to possess guns". And further, that they would do so "...in a way that people will be harmed."

Nothing really surprising here. Someday, people such as this will get a taste of their own medicine and they probably won't understand why they had it coming.
