For Your Reading (dis)Pleasure

Running through some stories today, I ran across a few things worth noting.

First comes Ronald Fraser with an article near and dear to Unc and Radley's heart.

You and your law-abiding neighbors in Virginia might be just one street address away from a life-threatening, midnight raid by a local paramilitary police unit.
Next, Dear Abby talks about a situation where a police officer leaves his gun unsecured at home.

She feels the concerned spouse should notify the Chief of Police about this.

Although there are no children at this house, she relates "horror stories" concerning unsecured guns. All these stories have one thing in common - children dying by gunfire.

Finally, I don't know whether to laugh or cry over this last one:

Wait for it....

Sniper wounds 5 in BB gun shooting spree

Five people were shot and at least two windows shattered by an apparent sniper in a van who cut loose with a BB gun between 5:16 and 7 p.m. Sunday.
(emphasis mine)

Also used is the line "two-hour barrage"

And finally, after they list the casualties, there's this:

All the injuries were minor.
Well no shit, Sherlock.
