I Have to Rip on Jack Hannah

While talking about Steve Irwin on Fox the other night, Jack Hanna just pissed me off:

1. You know, some people say that -- not some people -- it is a true fact that animals are like a loaded gun. They can go off at any time.

2. Man, of course, has a gun. They're the most deadliest animal on earth.

I gotta say, my WTF meter was pegged out by that second one. Jack, push your agenda on your own time.

Steve Irwin lived as he saw fit, did what he wanted to do, made a good living at it, and died doing what he loved. I see a lot of people blaming him for his own death, but they are mostly small people who have never ventured out of their comfort zone.

Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat. -T.R

PS: Props to Jim Fowler. He doesn't let people push him around on TV. Saw him set O'Reilly straight last night - it was a hoot!.
