Ok, Piling On
Thirdpower pointed me to this bit of drivel. It's a typical anti-gun screed written by a clueless blowhard. like we've never seen THAT before
Didin't get past the opening line before I had a comment:
I can confidently say that as young man living in America, I have never been in a situation where I look back and say “wow, good thing I had my gun.”That's because you've just now cut the cord, Skippy. You've not started living yet. You haven't had to live with life-altering bad decisions. Dry your ears off and get back to me in twenty years. I sincerely hope you can come back and honestly be able to say that.
Till then, please stop trying to trample my rights, OK?

Let me get this straight
CBS does a miniseries about the Reagans, Reagan fans get mad and squash it, and it was a Good Thing.
Now, the History Channel does a series about the Kennedys, Kennedy fans get mad and squash it, and it's a Bad Thing?
Am I getting this right?
And yes, I am aware The Reagans aired on Showtime, and I'm sure The Kennedys will air somewhere as well, even though Showtime has already said it won't do it.
Maybe the real test of broadcast bias will be how far down the food chain The Kennedys will have to go to get on air....

Sunday Music
I never really got into '80's hair bands, as I spent most of the 80's in Europe, but these guys were probably the best of the genre:
Motley Crue - "Kickstart my Heart".

With all due respect to Ronnie James Dio, I have to say - before there was Rainbow, there was Nazareth:
Nazareth - "Miss Misery".

If the shooter
... was the "Jared" some folks say he is, he's one crazy mofo. Checked out his YouTube channel. He's out there beyond Pluto.
No linking, for reasons I need not go into.
My thoughts are with the victims.

Titan Thoughts - Jeff Fisher Edition
Jeff Fisher has done more with less than any NFL coach in history. How many players have left the Titans to go on to successful careers? One. Derrick Mason.
Now, how many have gone on to be complete busts? THAT list is a long one: Haynesworth, Bennett, Brown, Volek....
I was halfway hoping Fisher would leave for a team where the owner was willing to spend money. He'd be the next Lombardi. Ok, maybe not Lombardi, but the next Jimmie Johnson? You betcha.
