Those Cousin Humpin' Rednecks

Aren't all rednecks.

I find it interesting that Mississippi, Arkansas and Louisiana prohibit cousins from marrying each other, where California, New York and Massachusetts do not.

Cousin humpin' Progressives!

It's one of those laws that nobody bothers bringing up until it's actually needed I suspect. I bet people in MA and CA aren't even aware they could marry their cousins.

A couple years back a guy in MI got caught "doing the deed" with a dead deer in broad daylight on the side of the road in front of a day care center. Turns out it's not illegal to bugger an animal carcass in MI. Nobody ever thought we'd need a law against it.

Not that I equate the two acts. I really couldn't give a rip if people start marrying their cousins.

In California nobody even knows who their cousins are if they go to a different school.

I moved from Az to Ca to marry my first cousin. Our daughter is getting her PhD in physics at Cal Berkley now.

Lived in NY most of my life, always heard that 1st and I also think 2nd cousins could not marry in this state; that is except for those of certain religious beliefs.

As for the folks in the states where it is banned - maybe it is the forbidden fruit thing at work. make it bad, make it forbidden, and people flock to do it. LOL but how true.
