Hey, Bloomie!

Word is getting out: (all emphasis mine)

Weapons trafficked into the Capital Region derived from several states, yet the top "source" state of illegal firearms was New York itself, according to numbers from the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
Ya don't say.

But, even in the face of their own statistics, the ATF says:
[ATF spokesman] Green downplayed New York as the leading source state, noting that long guns such as rifles and shotguns such can be purchased in the state without a permit, leading to more potential seizures of those weapons.

He said most guns in cities likely originated out of state.

Although there are no numbers to show that.

Amazing

But, not shocking.

*sniff sniff*

I detect the distinct odor of "fake but accurate" in the air ...

Don't forget that in CA, the Brady's #1 rated state, 75% of traced guns are from in-state.
