AP Wants to Tell Bloggers What They Can and Can't Write About

Via Sebastian, I see that there's a call to boycott the AP. This bit over at TechCrunch really got me:

A.P. vice president Jim Kennedy says they will issue guidelines telling bloggers what is acceptable and what isn't, over and above what the law says is acceptable.
Pardon me? Sounds like the AP no longer thinks we're just pajama-wearing kids in out parents basement.

Guess what else we're not? We're not the kinds of people who will listen to your pontifications over what's "acceptable" or not.

We're here because you suck, and we don't have to take it any more.

Here is the petition.

More links here.

Sounds like they're getting concerned.
